the key art is, effectively, the cover. needed something nice and eye-catching to represent the game on stores and elsewhere. i spent a lot of time trying out different mockups and sketches for this, but i'm extremely pleased with the final result! (my ability to draw these characters has come a looooong way since the game's original announcement haha.) and if you're wondering why the party is off-center in the full version, it's because i wanted the ability to crop it with them centered OR to the right of the image, depending on logo placement and things like that
