History: Kufuata was born to a small poor family in southern Ramios. Iaden, traveling south to sell some wares, met with his family to arrange some business with Kufuata's parents. To the side, he offered to the parents to grant their son the role of keeper for the years to come, stating that he could not do so with them as they would be much too old to help by the time that help was needed. The offer was strange and the parents questioned how this would impact the year-old Kufuata, but Iaden insisted that he would grow up normally and without any issues, so they need not be concerned. While he had been looking around the region for others to fit the role, he could not sense the "feel" he needed from them to use the role wisely. The parents reluctantly accepted, relieving Iaden of a seemingly impossible search. As thanks, he gave them his wares for free to sell at their leisure-- high-quality pottery, sculpts, pipes, and woodworks that would help alleviate their current financial situation if sold carefully.
With mindful sales, the family begun stabilizing their financial situation and allowed Kufuata to grow up in a modest, but otherwise normal household. He learned early on how to make wares of his own, leaving with his father to sell them in town markets and collect his own income as a result. His genial demeanor and the increasing quality of his works helped him raise both his finances and status, soon making enough to easily get by on his own and selling his pride to others happy to buy. He learned everything he could and even helped others better establish a foundation of business by temporarily selling their works through his services, allowing them time to save and create without worrying about marketing. He would consider what sold well, what didn't, and what could be done for each case. Kufuata would later branch out and own a few small shops, one per subregion, employing a set of staff and a basic trade route between them to best communicate goods between each, supplying each subregion with things it might not have. Despite owning the shops and trade routes, they all run well enough on their own without much intervention.
