Species: anomalocaris
Anomalocaris is a extinct arthropod-like animal that lived in the Cambrian (541 million years ago to 485 million years ago). It's name means "abnormal shrimp" due to it's unique appearance and it was the very first apex predator on earth.
It's main appearance that it has a shrimp-like body with fin-like lobes on both sides to help it swim, has compound eyes to see better, has a pineapple ring shaped mouth under its head, and has 2 great appendages to catch prey such as trilobites. Anomalocaris was massive during the Cambrian period, it can grow up to 1 meter (100 cm) in length.
