@Samael_Morningstar:the only ad I've ever seen on YouTube that was pertinent to my interests was for a guide spring laser sight once.
I hadn't even looked for one yet so I was surprised.

I just block ads and trackers entirely, both at the DOM level and by redirecting known advertising domain names to the bit bucket.
