That's not how it works. A tag may still exist even if its contents are empty. It makes no sense to "take it down", it just makes things more confusing in the long run and induce headaches that are easily avoided.

Also I don't think any of this will stop people from making or uploading potential fanart of your works here, just saying. In the event that happens, the tag would see use, unless you for some reason are against that sort of thing, which I can't say I would understand but okay.
