Holy crap, didn't think it would work.

My laptop was having issued, got bluescreen when watching YT, restarted, had other issues.
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, others.

Swapped HD into an identical laptop, and it's working so far. No errors/crashes.

Also has a working screen backlight...

Well, yeah, if the HDD isn't giving issues, of course it'll work elsewhere. You might be able to fix the first laptop by replacing the RAM. Maybe turn it into a Linux server or something.
