Are you familiar with “The Heat Death of the Universe” that’s going around?

Apparently it’s a Doomsday prediction that will occur on August 16, 2036. 🤷‍♂️

Apparently the heat death scenario predicts that as the universe expands and continues to age, it will eventually reach a point where all available energy is uniformly distributed. In this state, the universe will have reached maximum entropy, and no further energy transfer or useful work can occur. Stars will exhaust their fuel supplies, galaxies will disperse, and black holes will eventually evaporate through Hawking radiation.

I mean we’ve already surpassed the controversy of December 12, 2012 (12/12/12) 11 years ago…

where did that specific date come from? i just though that was the logical conclusion to entropy and would take a really... REALLY long time to actually happen

like longer than it would take for the sun to die... which is 5 billion years away

Oh yeah, that reminds me of that one TIMELAPSE OF THE FUTURE video. It gave me major existential crisis the first time I saw it. Like, you get to the point where every stars are dead and it's only a third of the way into the video. Really so much time passes only for nothing to happen.
