I wanna ask a genuine question, is it improper to ask for moderators - in a general sense - to check a post you put on here, in case they might have missed it?

you mean for approving a pending post?
generally it's best to bring it to light to a staff member if it's very close to autodeletion day, around 5 days at most i'd say, otherwise it's nothing to worry about.
it's very normal for a post to go weeks without being approved before getting the greenlight on something like day 20 given that the members with approval rights on this site is only a dozen or 2 strong and there are currently over 5,000 approved posts.

Yeah, I'm getting antsy because my avatar's post is 2 weeks old and not getting any approval, even if it follows the rules, as far as I'm able to see.
