My instrument knowledge is only just surface level. Even then, I still have have my moments with things like this where I shouldn't be even fazed with some instruments being around given similar things made in the past. Only reason I know about some instruments is thanks to my time in band. Otherwise, I'm sure I would be about as uninformed as the next guy who never even touched or played an instrument.
