question: if i add repeats of the same tag, are they automatically removed? im thinking of going through the tagging checklist and just tagging entire images, but i fear tags would duplicate and something like if i dont visually catch it. anthro anthro male male would show up.

Pretty sure duplicate tags are removed. I tagged some posts a while back with the same tag by mistake because I didn't check what was already tagged and I didn't see anything duplicated on my end, but just avoid my mistake of not double checking and I think you'll be fine.
