Think there might be some repeat of panic buying like with "the worldwide incident" a few years back or things are just getting sold that quick. Yesterday and today the water and paper sections at my work were emptied out and the only thing that wasn't bought out was the wipes. Even after being told to help fill the paper while the managers filled the water yesterday, today the paper was just as empty, even when there was so much to stock we had the rest on the top shelves, and the water had almost nothing. Yesterday it was just the large cases of water and today even the smaller packs of water went poof. The customers were suprisingly patient and understanding when I went to refill the water.
