also, I just want to bring up how absurd it is that there was a place that tried to convince people that they were the real hotel that this was based on and people believed it. I mean, even if you didn't clock that it was really obviously metaphorical and not, like, a hotel-- what? how would someone believe that it was a physical location in real-life that they was being referenced?
