It would be GNU_(operating_system) anyway. Although GNU without a kernel isn't much of an operating system.

Presumably, that would be tagged gnu_license, since it's the license part that's more important for identification, and the GNU part only tells you which license it is.
Even so, the only things likely to be tagged gnu on e621 are pictures with wildebeests in them.

gnu should be aliased to wildebeest, not imply it since they're 2 names for the same thing, not a super/sub-category set.
