Topic: Tag Alias: vpl -> penis_outline

+1 to all

vpl is just too ambiguous if you don't already know what it is, while penis_outline is self-descriptive.

I'd keep tenting out of it though...you always get a bulge (of some variety) with a penis outline, but only sometimes get a tent. Far more often than a tent it's just the penis pressed up against the body under overly-tight clothing.

Previous discussion on vpl/camel_tail/bulge/tenting: forum #128979 for those interested.

For a long time now, I have used 'VPL' for 'visible panty line'
(for all the girls who refuse to do the right thing, and go commando when wearing tight pants...)

penis_outline, sure.
bulge, absolultely.
moose_knuckle is always good for a chuckle.
vpl? no thank you.

This is pretty much what I think of. Fortunately it doesn't seem to be used for that as far as I can tell (unless it's regularly cleaned up).

(for all the girls who refuse to do the right thing, and go commando when wearing tight pants...)

This isn't always an option. >.>

Of course not every day can be a tight pants day (no matter that my brain wishes it so); those days can always be a jeans day, versus, say, yoga pants day.

I pray that ASP:ATT (all sweat pants, all the time), be a limited Merikun phenomena.

Having said that, the Little Black Dress must always be worn correctly, just as with gents in kilts.

Can I go on the record to say this all sounds incredibly misogynistic?

Of course; it must be nearly impossible to talk of girls wearing tight pants, and not come off like a misogynist, insofar as it is an objectification or sexualisation of females.

I do not come to e621 to espouse the virtues of feminism.
I come here for the satire (well that, and the tight bodies, in or out of tight pants, no matter the gender).

Yeah, that's even the top definition on urban dictionary.
But despite that, it seems like vpl is tagged consistently only for penises. So I suppose it's safe to alias..

I've made the following changes:

All sweat pants, all the time

I really shouldn't necropost, and please forgive me, I must say it, but welcome to College: All Sweat Pants, All The Time.

I was just thinking, would it be a decent idea to expand on this and make a balls_outline tag too? You know, for stuff like this:

Unless I've missed something we don't really have a specific tag for that, while it's actually very common, at least in furry art (good luck achieving this effect in real life).

+1, wouldn't mind that at all.

I was actually looking for a tag like that when posting that image, I think it'd be a pretty good idea.

Did...did my necropost just legitimately revive a topic without me getting yelled at for it? :D

Well, tbh no, because you necroposted after three days and then I did it three days once more after you. So I'm equally guilty. It's not really necroing after just a few days, anyway. I think. Least if it's on-topic.

  • Implication: penis_outline -> bulge (pending) - I think it would probably work, but I wanted to ask before actually putting it through.

I thought this would be okay when I did the wiki but Circeus made a good point that it can sometimes be tenting instead of bulge, so I'm not sure.
