Since the "Posts, Comments, Tags, Wiki, etc." box is now semi-transparent, and because it can be moved around with the scroll bar, the box no longer covers Narse's armadillo's big wang. It's still the only mascot with explicit genitals right there on the front page.

Can we please get rid of him now, or at least cover him up again?

I dunno, if I put 'e' in my browser it autofills the rest of e621.net/forum; most browsers if you bookmark, say, the posts page or the forum page, it'll autofill to that address. Every page has links to the other pages at the top, so to me the splash page has always been a little superfluous.

Yes, I know, but mine tends to randomize every time I visit. I'm here often, so whenever I type in e621.net/ on my browser, it takes me immediately to the splash page... which one in every seven visits or so features surprise armadillo cock.

I don't have an issue with it being cock, it's just that all of the other mascots are G-rated, this one's explicit, and there doesn't seem to be a way to prevent it from appearing on my splash page.

I've asked Narse to see if he can come up with a wang-less Armadillo image for the mascot; once we have this, we can go ahead and make the homepage work-safe again. :)

While I greatly enjoy the exact oppostie (alternating mascots) this sounds like something cool that can easily be implemented and not few people would like to have. ^_^

Why should a mascot that plenty of people like be removed just because it's explicit when the majority of this site is explicit anyway? Besides, there's a change mascot button anyway.
