You want something done to a favourite picture of yours?
Turn it into a BG, change colours, or more drastic changes?
Well you may be in luck.

I'm a professional media designer, retired due to mental health stuff.
So at times I don't know what to do with my depressive days and I'd rather do some photoshop than vegetate all day.

So if you post your request here, I might get to it the next day I feel like it. No promises, no deadlines, but put it here and I might just do it.

The likelyness of me fulfilling your request obviously depends on the complexity of it. I'm a MEDIA DESIGNER, not an artist. I can do concepts, vector graphics and excellent at composition, EDITING or merging existing art, but I'm bad at creating original art so please don't ask me to draw anything, there's enough extremely talented people for that out here.

Disclaimer:
I don't discriminate, but I reserve the right to NOT do cub work/edits, since my paranoia disorder don't want it on my HD, UNLESS you want me to UN-cub something ( Removing the cub content ) . Anything else is fine, straight, gay, pan, alien, gore, vore, don't care. Just no cub stuff. I mean obviously I can deny any request I dislike ( duh ) but that's a ground rule, so don't bother asking, please.

Disclaimer II:
If you want me to upload the edit on here and make it public, YOU need to find out and ask the artist in question for permission, so I can credit the original artist if posting in public is allowed. I deny all potential liability for doing YOUR edit if YOU messed this up.

You should check with the artist and commissioner of pieces before editing artwork. A vast majority of the artwork here has a personal connection, and making alterations of it is going to upset people. This is both how takedowns and hate mail happen. Most artists have a posted policy against editing.

Well, I would personally consider THAT the job of the person posting the request since I don't intend to upload edits here, rather sent it directly via PM etc. - Changing something for your very own personal (Meaning it's NOT made available to the public, and there is NO transaction/payment involved) use is not against copyright, and believe me, I've dealt with THAT as part of my job before.

You're absolutely right that -publishing- edits would potentially infringe on the artists rights, and therefore I'll add it to my OP to make sure people with requests get that straight if they want it published to make certain all is fair.

Changing someone else's creation while avoiding responsibility for their copyright is not okay. I'm an artist and a graphic designer, and I think you're showing off a lack of professional ethics, @HeroicHeretic.

I'd say I know where you're coming from, but that'd be a lie. I'm on the autism spectrum and have severe issues with empathy, so I can't relate to the whole having such strong feelings about artwork thing. I really don't GET it.

We're talking about art being modified for someones personal use, taste, liking and desktop resolution without anyone but me and the person requesting ever knowing it even happened. Why would anyone, any artist, care what people do with their stuff in their own homes. I'm just doing the editing part for people who can't.

I've had to be super careful about copyright most of my life thanks to my career, I really don't feel like dealing with that shit in my private life after retiring. FUCK professional ethics, I've had to deal with enough of that for a lifetime.

I just wanted to offer doing the thing for people who can't. It's not that deep.

I'm not ripping anyone's art off, reposting content as my own, publish edits etc. etc. - If it'll help you and others with your mindset I can change the OP to just private message me instead of posting here. Or just posting and not publicly saying what they want edited.

I acknowledge and respect that your diagnosis. Not being able to relate to something isn't the same as not respecting it. I can't relate to being on the autistic spectrum, but I can respect that you are. You can't relate to others' feelings, but you can clearly respect them since (as you've stated) you had to before you retired.

Why would anyone, any artist, care what people do with their stuff in their own homes.

Because it's theirs. They created it. It wouldn't exist without their imagination, their vision, and their artistic skills. Legally, morally, and ethically, it belongs to them. Others don't get to walk in from outside and just deface it to their heart's content.

That statement is indefensible.

Yes, you are ripping off someone else's art. And yes, I think you should remove the OP, because it serves as advertising for something you're doing that's both wrong and illegal.
