Sorry about that, but I really don't want the main comic pages to be re-uploaded anywhere else. You really should have asked beforehand, even on tumblr, there were, I believe, two others who asked in the previous month. I told them consistently that prologue is fine with credits, but not others.

I understand that it took you a lot of work, but so did it took so much time and effort for both me and slydragoon16 to pump these stories out. The only sort-of income that we can get for Tales of Elysium is via traffic to the SSP Comics site. If the comics are re-uploaded elsewhere, it is basically killing that income, of which it is already so minimal.

I did follow up your discussion on e621 and how someone pointed out that there's a sharing function on the SSP Comics site. I didn't even know those buttons are there, so thanks for giving me a heads up! I have discussed that with the site manager and they say that since preventing people from re-uploading is so difficult, they would rather just have a share button to help people share the comics with credits on the get-go.

But now that I have brought up the attention on these sharing buttons, they agreed that we will remove them, to prevent situations like this from happening again in the future.

Sorry again about the post limit thing, but yeah, I can't do anything about it. I persist that the main ToE pages stay under and only under the SSP Comics domain.

-11? really?

i can never upload anything ever again?

I was going to do that with the whole comic but i had so many pages to upload i wanted to get those out of the way before i spent so much time on the little things

Since the prologue was allowed (stated in the takedown request), ask for those pages to be restored, yes.

You might also be able to ask an admin for your upload amount to manually get a small boost out of the negatives since this artist didn't seem to make it obvious that it wasn't meant to be shared? I mean, each comic page on the site has a "share" plugin that lets you repost the pages to Pinterest or Tumblr, for crying out loud. There's no notice anywhere on the site that you can't share it either.

This was pretty unfair to you, all things considered.

also not happy that i now have a ton of "deleted" posts, i was trying to keep that number as low as possible :|

You could still ask to have your limit reset to 10

I don't really think it's that unfair if you could've avoided this by asking first, or at least checking for previous takedowns.

When both artists openly allow other comics by them to be posted here I personally wouldn't have thought it necessary to ask either, since it seems like they're in the clear. And, as I mentioned, you can repost to tumblr or pinterest using the plugin on the site that the comic is hosted on, leading me to believe they want it shared with others and you're free to do so.

This was some major miscommunication on the part of the artist, and Scakk shouldn't be punished for their lack of clarity on this.

and now you're upload limit is 5 again.

oh and it seems the artist decided he/she didn't want the comic here or something. see here

-11 is not even bad

13 posts, 1276 deletes...how does that happen? did that person do something to upset someone?

Feel for ya man, that's a lot of work gone to waste. :(

Agree there, that is very misleading.

The guy basically dumped every full piece, sketch or meaningless scribble Eroborus had ever made (which frankly was a lot even back then) onto E6 within the span of a few weeks. To many people's annoyance, I should add. Eroborus got word of it, didn't like the spam and issued a takedown (and later got himself on the avoid_posting list too).

So what you see there is the result of 1200+ posts getting deleted at once.

Namicorn probably could've gotten his limit reset to a positive amount, but I think he just got buttmad and ran off.

Even though avoid_posting specifically says not to post those?

(Do not post) Excessive webcomic rips (more than 5 or more consecutive webcomic pages)

A webcomic isn't really the same as this though, is it?

This is a comic that's posted on the web, yeah, but webcomic usually refers to single-page gags. VG Cats and the like. I believe there are at least a few comics on here that span 5 pool pages or at least close to that, and none of the admins has made a stink about those.

Admittedly, those weren't always posted all at once.

Well, that's a pretty decent response you got at least, might ease the pain a bit. Good on him I'd say.

Still sucks about what happened, but I can somewhat see his point there, with the traffic and all. I'd advice them to put a disclaimer up on SSP, because even though its technically the re-uploader's responsibility to ask, it could at least keep a few of these situations from happening at all.

It's exactly the same thing. Doesn't matter if it's one-panel gags or continuing storylines, both are webcomics. And the reason that rule is in place is so that e621 doesn't steal traffic and ad revenue from the comic artists.

Yeah, I only realized about that issue after Haychel brought it up.

I used to think that way as well. But the lesson that I learned from faf made me realize just how pointless having a "clean" record is. As long as your uploading competent images and not irrelevant/poorly-drawn garbage, then you really shouldn't worry about anything else.

If I remember right, I still had an upload limit of over 30 after I thought otherwise of that waste of time. Good thing I was one of those users that understood the rules and followed them to the best of my ability.

Dude your on e621, deleted posts are part of the package. The only post I ever had an issue with was this one https://e621.net/post/show/466387
People where commenting about tribbles multiplying and the artist apparently thinks I posted it on here for erotic reasons, may a tribble devour their motherboard.
It just shows you that people are.... weird about their artwork. Even when no harm is done to earn such a reaction.
An admin can easily reset your load limit, heck i imagine they could even boost it higher than normal if they where inclined to.
