Topic: Comic Sans And Why You Might Hate It

Posted under Off Topic

I've noticed that there's a tag for Comic Sans here. It's rather pointless unless there are tags for other fonts. This actually reminds me of a video I found on Google+ that made me look at the font differently from before.

Unlike most videos, this addresses the topic in a straightforward and nonbiased manner, and is only about three and a half minutes long.

Did you find this useful or interesting? If I find any other interesting articles I'll share them here next month.

It's a tag precisely because some users have an irrational hatred of it, which doesn't apply to other fonts. Though I wonder how many have actually blacklisted it. Probably zero.

Trebuchet MS rules. That, Tahoma) or Verdana (which e621 uses)

But yeah, I agree that Comic Sans is not for serious matters due to its handwritten style. Though it makes a good font for April's Fools. Like that one time where searching for "Comic Sans MS" on YouTube changed the whole main font to that :V

It's not for serious writing, but then again, so are 80% other fonts out there.

Besides that, there is nothing wrong with Comic Sans

Hating it is just a meme

People hate Comic Sans because of how it looks unprofessional and that it is overused. I actually create advertisements for a newspaper and the amount of ads that we get from people that contain Comic Sans is ridiculous, so we end up editing them and replacing Comic Sans with better fonts.

I personally don't hate Comic Sans but I hate how it is used.

Here's a cool website on the correct usage of Comic Sans with a bit of added humor.

Hating it is probably more popular than it's actually hated. It's kind of like the Nickelback of fonts.
