Wanting to know how to appear with an avatar photo of choice may seem confusing at first, but it's actually very easy. Here are some simple steps to accomplish this:

1: Identify what picture you'll be using.

2: Scroll down on the left side of the picture, and locate the image ID under Statistics.

3: Copy the ID (ctrl + C when highlighted).

4: Go to your profile, and click on Settings.

5: Lastly, scroll down to the box that says Avatar ID, and paste the ID in the box provided. (ctrl + V)

If you want to skip this, you can simply scroll down on the left side of the image, and locate the "Set as Avatar" and click it. This'll automatically set it as your avatar.

Important Note: Anything but flash games, videos and images can be used as an avatar photo. Explicit, Questionable, and Safe ratings don't have to be implied with caution.

Q: What if the post I was using gets deleted?

A: No worries! Instead of messing up the image, it simply reverts to a white box with a DELETED message. Just find a new post to use!

Or just go to a pic and click 'set as avatar'...

I don't know honestly. I for some reason remembered when I had trouble with this. Yes I was a noobie at the time. So something in my head was telling me,"Make this forum." Completely was disregarding the fact it's already in the Help tab.

this actually did help me sicne i just made an account a few days ago and couldnt figure it out, mostly cus normally other forums or sites allow you to upload an image directly as your avatar instead of solely using one from the site itself, i had been looking for the option to upload one as my avatar with no luck so i looked up how the fuck to do it and this showed up.

i have to upload a pic now to the site just to use it as my avatar -_-

Since you're new here, don't necropost. That means no bringing back very old threads that has long since been forgotten by responding to them.

Uploading images for the solely purpose to use them as avatar is actually discouraged. You could get off if it's good enough to be kept, even if used for avatar. Normally, tiny images with little or no artistic merit/effort are removed: less than 150px on either side, 1/2 frames, y'know, things like that. I'm not really sure since it's a bit of a gray area imo
