Yes, i have read the rules, help and terms of service. Don't want to get blocked so early because i was ignorant (although most of the rules only require common sense)

Okay, i was a lurker for a few months and then decided to get a account, because... i don't really know. To get involved? Prehaps.

If it's an image on the site, it can be used as an avatar regardless of content.

It's up to people to properly use their blacklist options to block content they don't like from being shown as someone's avatar.

Anyway, my advice is to not take any harshness to heart, there are quite a few who can be obsurdly rough around the edges, bit with time you will find they are good people. Just test the waters before jumping... Enjoy!

I like to think of this site, amongst others, like a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Sure, there's plenty of mutants and freaks running about, and things can get pretty hectic and nonsensical every now and then, but just keep your cool and blend in. Everything will be cool once you get to know the places and people. After all, have you ever wondered how much of a weirdo you look like to their eyes?
And who doesn't love a little bit of irresponsible, crazy fun that the wasteland provides?

Click on your name, then next to record will be a link to the list. currently 0.

Click the name of someone -> in the upper, right corner is the records link and section.
If you click my name you will see "1 ( 1 Pos ) List" and if you click the "list" you can read the most boring reason to get a positive record.

If you click the >> in the upper-right corner of your screen, it takes you to the More section of the site. Under the Users section you'll see Records.

Instead of 1 person giving one direction i got 3 people giving different directions to ultimately the same place.
not that i am complaining. this shows people on this site, or some, are going to actually help people like me, the 'lost tourist'. also increases general postive outlook of the e621 site by +1.
