help:cheatsheet#dates

Here are some things you can do with date keywords.

This is my new top search (replace with your username):

https://e621.net/post/search?tags=female+order%3Ascore+date%3Ayesterday+-voted:Lance_Armstrong

Does date:6_years_ago = date:5_yesteryears_ago?
Does date:yesterweek = Posts from the last 14 days?
Does date:2_yesterweeks_ago = Posts from the last 21 days?

The wiki section for date needs some cleaning...

other

"Fixed issue with tagme not getting added on upload" <- Is this automatically added on posts with less than a certain number of tags?

Quoting a comment/forum post inserts the userpage!

Blip character count!

I'm not gonna lie, they are pretty easy to break I wouldn't suggest using headers at all

s p a c i n g

<- multiple spaces between each.

Hmm, I remember that being fixed already. I'll have to take a look at this in more detail when I get back.

Edit: It works on my copy. :(

no swallow

no swallow

The swallowing was triggered if you didn't put a blank newline above and below them. I remember posting a huge ascii pony in the bug report thread (I'm pretty sure) that was completely hidden unless you quoted the post.

Does date:6_years_ago = date:5_yesteryears_ago?
Does date:yesterweek = Posts from the last 14 days?
Does date:2_yesterweeks_ago = Posts from the last 21 days?

1. date:6_years_ago is posts in the last 6 years (~365*6); date:5_yesteryears_ago is posts from a specific year Jan-1 thru Dec-31 I plan to add date:2009 to make this even simpler.
2. date:yesterweek is posts from last week, a total of 7 days
3. date:2_yesterweeks_ago is posts from 2 weeks ago, a total of 7 days

Not the most intuitive syntax but I'm still playing with the results.

The wiki section for date needs some cleaning...

It's kind of a WIP and unfinished. It started out as more of a proof of concept but I ended up needing to reorder a lot of stuff to add the new stuff (and is also why I left it unlocked for now ;) ).

The DText page is coming next as soon as I can clean it up (particularly block-level tags which unfortunately don't work well inside tables, so a redesign will still be neexed).

"Fixed issue with tagme not getting added on upload" <- Is this automatically added on posts with less than a certain number of tags?

Technically yes, but the number of tags is 0. Basically if you left the tags blank it would show "no tags" in the sidebar, but if you went to edit and hit save without adding any new ones, tagme would get added.

The number may or may not be raised at some point (it hasn't been brought up yet) but I'd like to get the tag count searching fixed before then.

date:>2012-12-18 date:<2012-12-21 does not work. date:<2012-12-21 takes precedence.

date:month order:random -voted:user

You need to use .. in order to get a proper range (e.g., date:2012-12-18..2012-12-21). Unfortunately I haven't quite figured out how to get multiple metatags in searches to work yet.

That's a neat one, I like it. :)

;_; im going to cry now, brb.

They're still dependant on the color code, so they don't work for members.

I am considering making an exception for the forums at least, but I'm not sure how annoying that would get. At least I think that was the reason for limiting it in the first place :/

I think it's worth at least trying it. The syntax makes the appropriate usage clear, and besides, it's not like it would let them do anything really annoying like this. (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Rainbow text is OK as long as it's not animated

what about this? imagine how annoying it would be if everyone could do this. imagine all the possibilities it would give for people. (highlight it)

Wow yester- is so different than I thought.

If yesteryear discards 2015's posts no matter what day of 2015 it is, how is this handled for weeks?

How about:

Sunday, November 15: yesterweek returns Nov. 8 - Nov. 14
Friday, November 20: yesterweek returns Nov. 8 - Nov. 14
Saturday, November 21: yesterweek returns Nov. 8 - Nov. 14
Sunday, November 22: yesterweek returns Nov. 15 - Nov. 21

yestermonth is obvious now.

You know, now that I think about it, this stuff is awesome! It's like there's hidden messages just waiting to be revealed. Like that one time where I was messaging a dude about- WAIT A MINUTE...peeps can actually see this? Well, if that's the case, I ain't telling my story that I had planned out. Oh well......BURGERS IS LIFE

Well, this just isn't going to make people paranoid! XD

Come on guys, blank posts are rude.
Which is why you should post some regular text as well. People won't be looking for the hidden text.
