I honestly don't have a problem with advertisement of that sort, it is a straight forward plea to harm themselves without any misinformation regarding the how, only the why is a lie.
I don't know if it is known but you probably know the very dangerous hoaxes about creating crystals and the one where you shatter a spoon by rapidly cooling them, those are deceiving in the result and are, in my eyes, wrong.
Why this? In one case you are supposed to hurt yourself openly because some stranger tells you to, in the other case someone is making false claims which then lead to hurting you.
It is in both cases extremely dumb to listen to either but in one case is it is stupidity and in the other misinformation.

If somebody thinks it is a smart move to stop a spinning blade of a chainsaw with their bare hands why should I be against it?

I don't hate him for his music (I do dislike it, though) but I hate him for the way he acts. After a member of the press died trying to get pictures of him, he used it as a shitty excuse to call for laws to keep them away from him. "Because they're 13-year-old girls" isn't a good reason to dismiss their behavior since there are plenty of 13-year-olds who aren't stupid or lack common sense. On the other hand, "because they're a bunch of idiotic fools" is a good reason, as it transcends age, sex, nationality, and species.

Not a citation, but how about this? The law of averages suggests that not all 13-year-old girls like Bieber and that a number of them should actually hate him. Of those who do like his music, the majority either know better or, at least, haven't got the guts to be self-destructive to "support" him. However, due to a reporting bias, we don't hear about these 13-year-olds because they're boring and nobody wants to hear about them.
