I'm making this topic to determine the amount of active Runescape players on e621. If there's a lot ("lot" defined as at least five or ten), I'm considering making a clan in Runescape for us.
So... anyone here play Runescape?

Man...I haven't heard about runescape in years. My friends would always talk about it and play in it class. Old times...old times...

I started playing again back in the summer of 2014, got over half of my current experience in that 3-4 month span, then I stopped again.
I don't know how things are nowadays, but the streamlined nature of the game in 2014, in addition to my matured time management skills (and a lucky 3rd Age range top clue), made that summer feel fun and 'productive.' Didn't feel like grinding at all.
Gotta say, if you have no clue what you're doing or you're not already in the money, it's hard starting out. I have no clue what the state of the ingame economy is nowadays. However, it is possible to hit that stride and reach endgame content in a reasonable MMORPG timeframe.
And if you're still playing Old School or F2P, I don't know what the fuck you're doing. Don't subject yourself to a second job with no pay.

no thanks. i tried runescape several times over the years but i just can't get into it. the stat system in particular tends to put me off. i'm used to more traditional stat systems like in console rpg games. runescape's system is too...ambiguous? for me.
i could sit there training an attack stat/skill and never have any idea how likely i'd be to hit an enemy of a different lvl because theres no hit % aka accuracy related info anywhere. i like knowing how likely i am to hit a target, especially in melee range. with larger targets it's like "how the heck do you miss something the size of a house with a melee attack?"
