Same, but I find I often mistag it because I'm unsure of the correct spelling.

One of those tags I aliased must have been a character tag. It basically works like this:

• Alias: foo -> bar
• Is foo anything but general?
• No: Don't update the tag type
• Yes: Is bar a general tag?
• No: Don't update the tag type
• Yes: Update the tag type to whatever foo is

It might also update the tag type for things like species -> character, but I can't remember off the top of my head (and most of the time it's a general tag anyways).

Well, you were right in your assumption! That other alias thread featured a tiptoe tag that I'd cleaned, but at that moment it was a character tag (must've been changed at some point by someone posting the rat character) and I probably hadn't bothered changing its type before basically nuking it. :P

Pretty weird 'bug' though, if I should actually call it that. Probably not, more like a quirk.
