Implicating jogging → sport
Link to implication

Reason:

fitness -> sport
skiing -> sport
snowboarding -> sport
archery -> sport
golf -> sport
rowing -> sport
surfing -> sport

There are probably a lot of sports still missing. I'll make more Wiki's for the ones I already found tomorrow.
I left things like swimming out since you can also swim relaxed in a swimming pool without having to be sporting.

EDIT: The tag implication jogging -> sport (forum #182894) has been rejected by @Millcore.

racing should qualify too; according to wikipedia it's still sport even with vehicles.

Yet on e621, things such as makeshift competitions without cars or someone riding an ostrich (yes) gets tagged with racing.
It's both a verb and noun.

Pretty sure that if Surfing counts as a sport, racing does anyways too.

I don't think the same way. Surfing (excluding surfing on the internet) is the act of actively standing on a surfboard on the water.

When we speak of racing however:

This is racing.

But this is also racing. Without vehicles. The same way as I do not consider swimming to be a sport 100% of the time.

Uhhh, how? She's standing in front of a race car, on a race track, but she's not actually racing or prepping for a race.

As for "Racing without vehicles," I'd still say it's a sport. If you want to say "Racing is not always a sport," then remove Jogging, because that's even less of a sport than racing is. People jog just to jog, similar to swimming, but again, racing is racing.

how are these sports?

I like the old adage:

it is only a sport if there is a chance of death or dismemberment

A lot of these look decent.

Though I wonder if jogging and fitness would work better implicated to --> exercise instead.
These two are physical pursuits it's true, but they are not as strongly associated with formal competition, officially mandated rules, governing associations, etc. (The things which tend to define the difference between plain exercise and official/organized sports).

I suspect that the average person searching sports would understand volleyball, golf, skiing...etc in their search results. But might assume it's a mistake if they saw an image of someone jogging through a park mixed in with images of playing baseball and footie. And I think someone intentionally looking for jogging and fitness would probably use words like exercise long before thinking to use the term sports to search for them.

I concur.
Jogging would fit better under exercise.

The fitness -> sport and rowing -> sport implications don't seem to quite fit either. Rowing isn't tagged much, but this doesn't look like sports to me:

Tennis, rugby, and basketball could be implicated to sports. Not sure about bowling. Many consider that to be more of a game than sports. Same goes for billiards.

Then there's wrestling and sumo. Some would fit under sports, but some wouldn't. Probably best to tag those one by one, depending on the content. Fishing is an another such tag: there's some images of sports fishing, but most don't belong under sports.

...and come to think about it, what's the fitness tag for? Seems similar to workout, which has far more posts. Could those be aliased?

The main problem with some of these tags is that they can be done without it classifying as a sport. Things like tennis is safe to say always a sport, while people can not only wrestle in a ring, but also wrestle as a fight over something for example. Same goes for racing and rowing.

In the Wiki, I did include them under "sports," but I'll just extend the information about when to use it and when not.
