Just saying. A 4Mb (!!) file takes 20-30 seconds to load. That's a crawl in my book.

You live almost 9,000 kilometers away from the server. Please complain to the EU commission to install better fiber cables across the Atlantic Ocean so uncached files are transferred more quickly.

why not just perceive everything simultaneously?

It's slow for me today as well.

I even get errors when I try to add tags.

Those were most likely database timeouts. Someone tried to do something that choked the server to near death. We'll have a fix for that ready soon.
