Topic: "Arbiter" tag

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

"Arbiter" is a title that refers to multiple characters not only in Halo, but in other media as well. Therefore it should not be used as a character tag for a single individual.

It has been used for at least one other character, and the character it normally refers to, Thel 'Vadam, has also been tagged as the_arbiter. His title, again, has also referred to multiple individuals in the Halo universe.

I was changing these manually to thel_'vadam, but I stopped because his name is relatively unknown compared to his title and I don't want to make things worse. I don't know if an alias is the best idea or if I should just leave it alone (and undo my recent changes). Or perhaps change the tag to arbiter_(halo). Any thoughts?

Do this.

Sounds good.

\+1 for arbiter_(halo).

Perhaps also aliasing the_arbiter and thel_'vadam to arbiter_(halo) might not be amiss. Not sure on that, though.

Regarding the_arbiter, you never know what might come up in the future. Arby's not a commonly seen character on here, so I don't think leaving that open will cause too much of a problem.

I thought this was talking about that walking ball of plasma from Starcraft, but then I remembered that's the Archon; the Arbiter was the flying ship that cloaked nearby allies and could freeze space around an area, preventing both movement and damage, useful for stopping the enemy and protecting oneself.

That, apparently, hasn't shown up in porn. Another exception to rule 34!

On further thought, disregard the second part of my previous post. The reason I wasn't sure was because it's stupid. :P
