What if characters were outside, peeking through a window into the shower_room or something?

If you can see details of the inside, I don't see why it couldn't be both.

Wat. That sounds like something to be invalidated, to me.

Nah, it was only tagged a few times so I just removed them. Invalidating it isn't really worth the effort.
This is fabulous.

That is a point worth taking into consideration. I'm not sure about this one.
Speaking of inside, a rule of thumb is that where the "viewer" is situationed, that location will be tagged inside/outside?

Haha. The nerd_room tag ended up there when I copy-pasted the results list for "*room". :-D

That's pretty much how I take it. Though the line is kind of blurred when the viewer is situated like this, I don't see why you wouldn't tag it with both if the view of each was sufficient to tag each (think looking into a huge window that has a detailed kitchen inside, but you can also see grass and flowers, making it fine for outside).
