Topic: Tag Implication: fakémon -> fan_character

Implicating fakémon → fan_character
Link to implication

Reason:

All of these are technically fan characters/fan species. While pokemon tend to blur the line between character and species, I'm not sure that having a separate fan_species tag is really that productive since it would mostly just apply to pokemon and the Lilo and Stitch experiments.

Another option would be to alias it and I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on this.

Edit:

Experiments are all the "Same" species, actually, so it's only a fan character for them. Digimon might have some fakes, but there's so many legit ones that it would be impossible to locate the fakes.

I do agree with implicating the tags for now, but aliasing them will just make it harder for people to either find or avoid the fakemon.

I dont agree with the pokemon_fusion -> fakemon, although it makes sense that all of them are imagined and fan made, fakemon are created out of the blue(mostly) and pokemon fusion are made from the mixture of official ones.

I believe that the main purpose of the fakemon tag is for filtering out non-canon species. As such, I think it definitely should cover hybrid pokemon, including crossbreeds and pokemon_fusion.

I'm going to go ahead and deny this one. It doesn't really fit in with fan_character any more than other hybrid species.
