Topic: Tag Implication: flipnote -> nintendo

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Actually, a flipnote is a little booklet, similar to a stack of sticky notes, only with binding that you'd have to rip them out of, which was designed to have a little sketch on each page. You would flip the pages quickly to make it appear animated.

People who search the Nintendo tag are not looking for flipbook stuff, they're looking for posts with Nintendo stuff.

post #773361, for example, has no Nintendo characters or properties.

Furthermore, this would be like tagging Microsoft on any image made in MS Paint, or Adobe for any image made in Photoshop.

This is the copyright tag of flipnote, not the actual object. If you look for it on the Wiki, it will show up as the only thing.

Flipnote belongs to Nintendo. So does Pokémon and more of their games and services.
I have the feeling Flipnote is getting forgotten, whilst, especially with the new version I heard about, can come forth some pretty cool animations.
I've been on Flipnote myself for a couple of years, and some content I saw was truly amazing, despite the relatively low amount of options back then.

So the Wiki, which can easily be edited and will contain what is most popular, is fact?
Someday, somebody's going to draw or maybe even animate a character using a flipbook, and tag it "flipbook," and it won't even be remotely related to that Flipbook.

I'm surprised Pokemon implies Nintendo. It should imply Game_freak, since they own Pokemon, not Nintendo. Nintendo couldn't even get the rights to include Pokemon costumes in some of their Amiibo costume games.

I feel like the concept is taggable, but adding the implication seems kind of pointless to me. I'd honestly rather have this be a general tag with a broader meaning and just note it in the animated wiki (maybe also implicate it to animated, though I saw at least one post that contradicted that).

It's the only thing because you are the only one that added it.

Pokémon is actually owned by The Pokémon Company, which is a joint venture between Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures.

My point is that, even though Flipnote is a Nintendo property, images made in Flipnote do not necessarily need this tag.

Would you normally tag this with Nintendo? How about this one?

We also have Microsoft as a copyright tag, why don't we start tagging images made in MS Paint with microsoft?

I created a Wiki for it for the sole reason of all the posts made in Flipnote.
