Implicating banjo-kazooie → video_games
Link to implication

Reason:

Developed by Rare. The series originated on Nintendo consoles, it's now published by Microsoft. I don't think we should imply it to either.

That's an another reason why I don't like developer/publisher tags: they tend to change.

By the way the rare tag is quite a mess (just look at the wiki).

I think we should actually imply it to rareware, which is the proper copyright tag. Rare itself should be cleaned out then aliased either to invalid tag (Too vague) or to rareware.

Wouldn't alias it to rareware. What if new, ignorant e621 users come here who don't know how to tag properly and add tags like cool, hot, lol, sexy and maybe even rare? Example with nearly nihil possibility, but the chance still exists. Best to just clean it up.

Approved OP. I'm leaving the rare tag alone (though I did delete the wiki article since probably nobody has ever used it like that).
