Not from what I'm seeing, they basically look like giant Jaggi, with a mane going down their spine, which the regular Jaggi don't have.

That's an actual thing, though. Pokemon are half-characters, so we keep the separate tags.

Again, Nidoran actually have different id numbers. The Great Maccao literally looks like a large Maccao with a feather mane.
