Not the ultimate machine learning e621 tagging solution, but somebody should submit porn to Google Cloud Vision

Never heard of Google cloud vision but sounds like it could be useful, it could at least be tried out for a month to see!

I would try this if I didn't have to register for it.
And give them my billing information.

Image Sentiment Analysis:

Vision API can analyze emotional facial attributes of people in your images, like joy, sorrow and anger. Combine this with object detection and product logo detection, so you can assess how people feel about your logo.

o.O tech capable of detecting a peoples emotions is rather creepy imo. guess microsoft isn't the only company working on such tech, huh?

Google Photos has been partially doing this already, like stated in some of those articles. If you allow it to send your photos from phone to cloud, they are automatically tagged for you according to place it was shot, time it was shot and what things and people are on the photo or the video and even automatically create things for you from them.

Here's video from 8 months ago, which also shows searching by subject matter: https://youtu.be/ydBjsZnHrwM

Problem is that they are optimized for real life photography.
For some reason Photos should detect photographs from Hangouts conversations as well, but fails miserabely and usually imports drawn images send as well with odd dates and usually no tags. Some of those were tagged as "horses" but ironically none of they had any horse in them. One of those images were actually post #31942

Ah yes, but neural networks can be trained. Someone is doing this with some bots right now for detecting specific things. Still, this 5-year-old topic could be revisited, with something like tensor

I have no doubt that machine learning will be used to help tag e621 at some point. After all, we have a huge dataset of over 2.5 million posts that are relatively well-tagged... over triple the amount we had when I made this topic. But it will take some serious work and will probably expose weaknesses in the machine learning method used and our own tagging system.
