We already have a spiral_eyes tag, but perhaps there is a case for separating whole-eye spirals from spiral irises/pupils. If so then we should probably imply al_bhed_eyes (or whatever name we end up using) -> spiral_eyes.

Those images look exactly like the spiral_eyes tag engageforth mentioned. It's better to stick to English phrasing like that, than to use some weird foreign wording.

Nope, up to eight, a bit of 9, and then I skipped to 12. If that's a term from the game, then it's still better to use layman's terms for people like me who haven't played the game, I'd think.

I agree. I just found it amusing seeing it called "some foreign wording". And you skipped my favorite Final Fantasy. Er, well, my favorite numbered Final Fantasy anyway. Tactics I think still wins overall.

first off, i dont see how this is different from spiral eyes. secobdly, if we really need this tag, we might want to change the tag since that is not very descriptive for most of people here

I've never once seen this so-called "spiral_eyes" tag, and I specifically looked up several images that clearly showed characters (in my case, the Hex Maniac mentioned in my OP) with spiral-shaped eyes (see post #618901, post #618899, post #537547, and post #526965.

I suggested this tag because I couldn't find any tag for spiraled eyes, and I needed one for a series of pics I was uploading that had a character with spiraled eyes. I knew from experience that the "al_bhed_eyes" tag was commonly used for such characters on rule34.xxx and gelbooru, so I decided to suggest it here.

If there is in fact a "spiral_eyes" tag, then that probably solves my problem. Although, as you said, it wouldn't hurt to implement the new tag I'm suggesting to differentiate between full-spiral eyes and spiraled-pupil eyes.
