Topic: Mega evolutions and normal forms

How would you go about tagging non-mega-evolution forms? I realize you can just search a Pokemon_A with a -mega_pokemon_A modifier. But what if you have both versions of the pokemon on a single picture that you want to upload?

I was hoping for a way to distinguish the fact that they may be different individuals, as I was concerned that mega_pokemon_a would implicate pokemon_a. But I guess it's not much of an issue anyway :(

Edit: I see that mega_pokemon_a sometimes implicates pokemon_a (e.g. rayquaza), but not other times (swampert). Confusing stuff!

Yep, and that makes it impossible to search for images that feature both. I've complained about that repeatedly.

I think it'd be best to only tag the form that's actually visible. Just mega_rayquaza or rayquaza, depending on the content. Because having those implicated makes just about as much sense as implicating pidgeot to pidgeotto. Heck, those two look more similar than most mega-pokemon look compared to their basic forms.

Yeah, that's been handled pretty inconsistently. It's likely that the implications will be deleted soon so they can be treated separately again, it just hasn't been done yet.

I'll put this one at the top of my to-do list.
