Topic: A small question about Gnar's tag

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

So I've always been curious

Why is the character Gnar tagged as Gnar_(lol) when every other league of legends character just has their name as a tag?
For exemple Fizz, Ahri and Teemo.

Why can't Gnar's tag only be his name?

The other characters just haven't been updated yet, I guess. The suffixes are added for search convenience - you can search "*_(lol)" and all League of Legends characters will appear.

Convenience!

worth aliasing gnar -> gnar_(lol)?

It's already a character tag, so +1 from me.

Edit: Oh, and +1 to moving them all to *_(lol). As a general rule, suffixed tags are really easy to implicate.

Ohh, I didn't know about that.
That's actually pretty useful

I support this.
It's not like there's any other character named Gnar (at least not that I ever heard of)

I fully agree, just gotta make sure people can still look them up by the character names as well without having to type "_(lol)" all the time.
For exemple, you can search for Kindred (another league of legend character) by typing either "Kindred_(lol)" or simply just "Kindred"

The problem currently with lol tags is that there is such a split in how they are tagged.

Examples include:
aatrox
annie_(lol)

Which sense because annie is a popular name while aatrox is not

However in my opinion I think all character should have the extra _(lol) in their name just for future proofing's sake.

I'm actually going to get started on that now.
