given the issue of forum #146436, I'd like to have some though as to whether open_pants and pants_down should be excluding each others? I know you can get gat with open_pants -pants_down but it seems like open_pants should cluster more with poking_out. But then we have far worse redundance in the implications (i.e. big including huge and hyper), so I'm probably wasting energy bringing this up...

Hmm...as far as I can tell based on the name, open_pants seems to emphasize the state of the pants regardless of the character. Definition-wise...well there isn't really one right now, at least not on the wiki.

I managed to find these tags, and I organized them as best as I could see.

• open_pants, pants_undone, open_fly
• penis_through_fly
• pants_down
• pants_around_ankle
• pants_around_one_leg
• poking_out

There's a lot of tags in here, and some obvious redundancy that should probably be taken care of. Since the usage of the pants* related tags are so small, it's better to lump them into a few well-defined tags then try to split them. Personally, I think it would be best to follow whatever model the panties* tags have since they are used far more. No reason to reinvent the wheel. We can make a few pants-specific ones like open_pants, but I don't see why they shouldn't follow more/less the same pattern.

As for the big/huge/hyper, it allows you to have more control over the results in the search. If they weren't implicated this way, penis -big_penis would include huge and hyper in the results, and instead you'd have to use penis -big_penis -huge_penis -hyper_penis to ensure you get relatively normal-sized penises. I can't think of any way to get as much versatility as this gives us within the limitations of the -booru framework. It's not the only way to do it, but it's definitely not unintentional.

Pants undone is something that can be fixed in 10 or so minutes. It turns out that there's a lot fewer posts tagged with both open_pants/open_fly and pants_down than I first thought, so that I can easily fix that and the wiki can state that they exclude each others.
