Topic: 69 issues

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I've noticed that frequently, the 69 tag is misapplied. The gist of the wiki article is that 69 applies when characters are in the 69 position (that is, two partners are facing in opposite directions, such that their heads are near each other's genitals), combined with mutual oral. However, the tag is used often when only one of those things is the case.

For instance, here it has been applied to images where the two partners are in the 69 position, but no oral is occurring:

Here, two partners are engaging in mutual oral, but the position isn't exactly the 69 position:

Here, they are in the 69 position, and one character is giving oral, but the other isn't:

I think this is a bit beyond a simple issue of mistagging. Therefore, I suggest the following. The current 69 tag should be split into two separate tags. One should be for the 69 position (named either 69_position, or simply kept as 69). The other should be a mutual_oral tag. Thoughts?

I don't really think it's worth complicating the tags over.

I agree. does it really bother you that much?

I don't really see it as all that much more complicated. Really just a clarification on one tag and the addition of a "mutual_oral" tag (which isn't that strange to me considering we have a "mutual_masturbation" tag (and a few others, such as "mutual_penetration", though they're used less).

I don't get why you think I'm overly bothered by this.

I think it makes more sense to just remove the 69 -> oral implication (not that I'm against adding a mutual_oral tag :P )

I mean... Well, that's two-thirds of what I'm suggesting anyway, with the remaining 1/3rd being updating the wiki to reflect the change. I starting to have a feeling I didn't explain myself very well.

I probably shouldn't have posted when I was tired and the site wasn't working very well. Ugh.

But that's how I do the majority of work here. :V
