Topic: A question about using the 'muscle' tag

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Hullo and happy Sunday to all of you! I was wanting to ask, under what circumstances should muscles be tagged on a piece of art? I assume there are people out there who blacklist the muscle tag due to musclefurs, but if we should only be tagging it under those circumstances, could the tag itself be renamed? If not, do we tag all characters with discernible musculature with it?

Many thanks!

If you see the muscles well enough to think "hmm...these look like muscles", then tag muscles. There are a lot of subtags with this that need to be gathered together, but generally speaking it's a pretty ambiguous term, so your pretty safe to tag it whenever you see it.

Any specific examples of posts you are concerned about?

Edit: I may have been tagging this wrong as well. I've been tagging it something analogus to this:

I don't search for the tag myself, so I'm going to step down for a bit and let those with more authority on the subject speak up.

Read the wiki a few hours earlier, it's probably outdated, but according to the current wiki I've probably used the tag wrongly for some time.

Gonna be a bit more selective with my usage of it from now on.

None spring readily to mind, I just wanted to know for future reference. Thanks for listing the tags, though, that's a great help!

OK, I'm on my phone right now so I can't easily make a big post with a lot of links and stuff right now, but I will when I get home. Anyway, this needs to get cleared up. I made a big post on it a while ago that I'll link to later, but I proposed changing the muscles tag into muscular, and use it for very buff characters, like somewhere beyond an average athletic build, more like a body builder. Most people liked the idea, but it never got implemented (I dropped the ball on that one )

Iirc, we wanted to set up a group for those tags and have them in order of muscle size, and our went like this: normal > toned > muscular > hyper_muscles
