how does one fix such situations?

Ok, horrified should be fixed back to being a general tag now. Not sure why it was acting up like that and refusing to be corrected. But I eventually got it to behave. There might be some minor bug kicking around involved with changing tag types though. It's definitely weird how it looked fine from the tag index, but not on posts and refused some forms of correction.

You can change the tag type by using prefixes like so:

artist:sacre_blue

character:john_fursona

copyright:birdy_bird_show

general:mustard

species:kragglefish

Note that this will only work for tags with less than 100 posts.
