Topic: Midna: new tag for her forms?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

in twlight princess it says she is a "Twili" so shouldnt all of her pics be twili as well imp? or do we not do that because as far as i remember midna is the only twili they name (i forget about zant not sure about him)

Yes. Ideally, I think all her posts should at least have Twili, and imp where it applies. That way "midna -imp" would be a pretty flawless search for her true form. I've already added Twili to a few posts in the past, but it seems this warrants a mass tagging job.

Why not just use midna human? She looks human enough in her adult form to warrant the tag.

And I doubt most people know what the hell "Twili" is, making it pretty pointless.

We don't tag link as hyrulian as far as I know, either.

Twili are essentially another "tribe" or "race" of humans in the Zelda franchise. As are the Gerudo and Hylians. So keeping "Midna Imp" and "Midna Human" should be enough. So long as people add either the human or imp tag.

You think so? Most if not every Twili that we've seen besides Midna herself have looked decidedly non-human. Humanoid, yes, but calling them straight-up human seems a stretch. It's really a different case than say Gerudos.

"Look, Margareth, a human!"

The Twili were supposedly more human-like before being sealed in the Twili Realm. Some theorize that the Twili evolved from a group of Gerudo that mastered the arcane arts much like the Zora evolved into the Rito and the Kokiri evolved into the Korok.

True, but that's just lore, not TWYS.

Although by sticking to TWYS, you would be right in saying that true-form Midna should arguably get a human tag, since she does look very humanlike. But the rest of them clearly don't, so a Twili tag existing shouldn't be out of the question either. And while she does look like a human... so do elfs. Usually even more so. They've got their own tag.

Eh, difficult.

Yeah. I'd say that a Twili tag would only be necessary in the case that we get more characters who need the tag than just Zant or Midna. I don't have anything against adding the tag as it is a species but having an entire race tag for one character seems a bit excessive. Then again, wouldn't Midna be a twili regardless of whether she's in her true form or her cursed form?

Indeed, and that's exactly why I initially opted for "twili + imp" for her cursed form and "twili" for her true form.

Or, since people appear to like using human on that form, "twili + human" if such a combination is even allowed to be used. Which I guess it isn't since you'd then be doing the same as "human + hylian". So then "twili + humanoid" would perhaps be a viable and accurate alternative, but it would mean you lose the human tag that people like using.

I do hope you're still with me by now, this is getting quite confusing. If only they either hadn't made Midna so damn humanlike or the other Twili not so different from her. Thanks, Nintendo. XD

Then perhaps you could have Midna and Zant implicated to Twili and then change any Midna pics that say Human to Humanoid. Then we'd have "Midna Twili Imp" and "Midna Twili Humanoid". Thing is, who's going to change the tags?

Edit: I just realized that there is a Midna_(Human) tag :/

Her both forms are humanoid. So that doesn't help differentiate those.

Edit: I just realized that there is a Midna_(Human) tag :/

Something like that might be the best way to do it. After all, we have two separate tags for Link: Link and Link_(wolf_form). So that's consistent. Though maybe it should be renamed to something like Midna_(true_form).
