Topic: Robin_hood tag and related ones

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

There's inconsistency in implications:
there is implication maid_marian -> robin_hood_(disney)
there is no implication robin_hood -> robin_hood_(disney)

I was about to suggest the latter but then I thought that not all pictures with robin_hood are about the disney one.
Then I was about to suggest unimplicating maid_marian but it doesn't sound good either.

So, how about aliasing robin_hood_(disney) -> robin_hood_(copyright) and implicating both character tags (and probably some more) to it? I don't think that there is much sense in making separate tag for not Disney robin hood.

I like this idea. If no one has any objections/addendum in the next couple of days or so, then I'll be happy to put it into place.

Imply robin_hood_(disney) to the copyright, so you can also imply Disney.

robin_hood should imply to robin_hood_(copyright) as well, since the character tag seems to be used the same regardless of copyright. The character and story originated in a book called "Rhymes of Robin Hood," back in the late 14th/early 15th century. The setting of the books, however, follows the 12th century.
Unlike the Evil Fairy Godmother, Maleficent, Robin Hood was named in the original works, NOT by Disney. Similarly, Alice in Wonderland was not created by Disney--While they own their version of the story and characters, the characters themselves originated from somebody else.

PS: Made a Wiki page for the character.

Why not make robin_hood_(disney) the character tag instead?

Because then all the characters only get tagged with the broad disney copyright, meaning you can't search for the cast of the film at large.

Wouldn't robin_hood_(copyright) disney essentially give you this?

Believe it or not, I've never actually seen the disney version.
