Topic: Tags: Glowing neon stripes?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Neon can be done well and proper, but I want to blacklist when neon is done just for the sake of being glowy and bright, even though the light's shining on it completely so that it shouldn't be glowing. Are there seperate tags for the two, so that I can blacklist the overglow neon?

If there isn't a tag for it I propose "overglow_neon" simply because it's what came to mind just now.

I think a more generic "overly bright glow" sort of tag might be more useful.

Does the usual 'glow' tag cover that as well?

well, 'glow' should be anything that glows. for super-bright glows that are hard on the eyes, there should be a sub-tag to 'glow'.

glow as umbrella, vibrant_glow, glowing, as under tags?

vibrant_glow sounds like a neat tag, but unsure if it gets the concept of being overly bright across, considering the other uses of the word; this could just be me over-thinking it though. I say go for it and if it turns out to be used ambiguously, then we come up with a better term.

Why not just use glowing as the umbrella tag? Since that's how it's already used: ambiguous, and tagged for anything that glows.

Are there any specific examples of what you're talking about? It'd help with deciding what tag should be used.

"bioluminescence"

is what you are looking for I believe

And I dont mean to call anyone stupid on here, but noone wants to type that out. "Glowing" is a better umbrella tag.

539128 really shouldnt count. He really wasnt glowing, he was just green-striped.

Look a little lower. While the green inside the rays of light look like stripes, they seem to be glow-in-the-dark stripes; those lower down, in the shade, are glowing.
