Topic: Character tagging: Fate

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Some characters have been named "Fate," but something to keep in mind is to check for the surname. For example, there's the female Blaziken made by Wyntersun, who's full name is "Fate Valentine." As such, I've been going through and changing the tag, while "Fate" itself has been set to a general tag (It's an idea, not a character). For mononymous characters (those who only have one name), I think their tagging should be "fate_" followed by what series or artist they're from in parenthesis--If Wyntersun's Fate didn't have a last name, she would be "fate_(wyntersun)" for example.

I don't agree with that.
I can't come up with a single use for the tag fate. Fate what? A characters fate? How the smeg would that be displayed in an image clearly enough to warrant that as a tag?

Even if the idea itself isn't going to be tagged very frequently, characters who do get tagged frequently should have their own identifying tag. Fate Valentine is such a character, and yet a search on "Fate" results in mixing her in with the other characters by the same name.

It should be kept as a character tag. 'Fate' isn't taggable by twys.

Yeah, Fate should stay a character tag as it is, and then use it if neither series, artist, or surname is known.

Or if people are too lazy to tag Fate_*.
