Topic: Issue with metal_gear_solid, metal_gear, and konami

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Okay, so as we can see in the wiki of metal_gear_solid it's aliased to metal_gear, and implies konami.
However, the main tag, metal_gear, does not have the konami implication.

The result is, if you tag something with metal_gear_solid it becomes metal_gear and adds konami. However, if you tag it with metal_gear itself, it does not add konami to tags.

Therefore, i suggest moving the implication from
metal_gear_solid -> komani
to
metal_gear -> konami

cheers

or perhaps metal_gear_solid > metal_gear_(series) > konami?

...dammit, if we are implying the company/publisher that made the game series like that then i may need to go revise my earlier suggestions for post 78330 to take that into account. ugh, i swear...were i to tag every game/series/franchise/etc. mentioned in that playlist we'd have copyright tags coming out of everywhere. lol

might do that anyway. just won't actually make the edit without getting permission first as that would be a massive number of tags being changed at once (far more than what i did earlier).

That's odd, Metal Gear is the "character" of the games that is a bipedal nuke launcher. Rex, Ray, Shagohod, Saehelanthropus, Mini-Gear, they're all Metal Gears. (Though I don't think Mini-Gear could launch nukes)

then perhaps have the character as character:metal_gear_rex implies copyright:metal_gear_solid implies copyright:metal_gear_(series) implies copyright:konami?

likewise with the other metal gear models and respective games. the character under it's game with all the games under the series and so on.

darn these video game tags can get complicated. >.< would that even work like that?

edit: no, wait... character:metal_gear_ray_(sons_of_liberty) (or whatever that game with raiden was called, don't remember right offhand), and character:metal_gear_ray_(revengeance) THEN to each game as needed in the chain.

That sounds good.
