Reason: tags should be mainly alphanumeric and not have weird ascii characters

I think they can be different in terms of user reaction, though.

Like, ಠ_ಠ if I'm not mistaken can mean "what am I looking at". While look_of_disapproval is just a character's expression.

I don't. It doesn't look like a look of disapproval to me at all. To me it looks like a wtf face or someone being creeped out.

ಠ_ಠ is the look of disapproval. That's where the face comes from.
