Topic: What rating should posts with drinking alcohol be given?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I assume it goes under safe, but I'm curious.

Also, it would be nice if tagging tankard automatically went under the general tag.

Yes, but when I tagged tankard a few moments ago it came up as artist.

Under 100 tagged posts, any user can change the tag type. Above that, only admins can change it.

For what it's worth, there is actually an artist on e6 by the name of tankard with two different artist entries.
"tankard" is older, and "tankard_(artist)" is newer.
artist #10104
artist #17050

A disambiguation might be in place, then.

While we're on the subject, should alcoholic beverages be implicated to food?

+1, because it works

What do you mean it works? Sure, the tagging system works, but isn't, say, beer a drink and not food?

like hollywood this sites rating seems to be based on sex and sexuality.

Gore gets strict ratings too.

Yup. Makes you think how people are more okay with brains and guts being blown across the walls rather than a little nudity or sexual affection.

Because most stories are driven by conflict.
Conflict tends to invoke violence.

Tankard, stein and beerstein? Why do we need these, when most taggers seem unable to tell the difference, and mug is already aliased to cup?

It might be worth keeping one for the fancy steins that have a cover, but the rest should be aliased away.

Don't forget beer_mug

I hope the tags are left alone because I'm having fun playing "spot the beer cup". Users not being able to spot the difference is not the best reason to alias them either. There's also the education value in users finding out what the tag is.

That one is somewhat obvious.

Does it? There's more than one kind of love.
And love stories are not without their fair share of violence either.

Violence is probably given a softer rating because it's extremely popular in fiction and it's popular because it makes a greater emotional impact on viewers than anything else.

Here in Germany it's the opposite: Violence gets cut out of movies while soft erotic is acceptable ^^

I mean, food and drink both go into your body... And you don't go to a restaurant just for the drinks, right? The food is the main focus. The drinks are just an "add-on", but most people prefer to wash down their meals with a nice glass of *insert beverage here*.
