So that's what it is for.
Can we be sure that it won't get mistagged? I've never heard of feathering used in that sense; only to refer to the art technique. And if you google image search for it, the first five hundred or so results are for the technique.

fetlocs actually means to the place where the feathering grows but the tag usage is same as with feathering.

i think that aliasing them to unshorn_fetlocks (which is currently aliased away) would be best possible option since its terminologically correct for this specific thing and is not as easily misleading as feathering
