Bruises are only one type of wound. What about incisions, abrasions, avulsions and several others?

was this meant to be an implication?

Wait, wait, I think he wants to get rid of the tag. I mean, why have a bruised tag that is separate from wounded?

I know what the wiki says, but I thought that wounded was only for open wounds?
...maybe not, since it's aliased with injury. So open wounds and generic injuries such as black eyes and bruises are all under the same tag? Kind of seems like some would want to blacklist the former, but not the latter. Ah well, maybe combining it with tags such as blood works well enough for that.

actually bruised should be aliased to bruise

This was my thinking, yes.

-1: Personally, if I see a bruise, I wouldn't call it a wound by way of TWYS. A bruise is an injury, yes, but not as bad as a wound.

despite of what the wounded wiki page says (which was btw written by a regular member over year ago), bruised and wounded are not same thing. when you hear word "wounded", your first thought is not exclusively bruises. person who is looking for bruised characters is not looking for wounded characters, person who blacklists bruised is not trying to blacklist wounded characters. implication might work (even then its generally bad idea because they are very different things) but alias doesnt work.
also you need to take in account all the other tags aliased to wounded. for example cuts. with this alias looking up for bruised would bring up gory pictures of characters covered with deep cuts.
besides bruised should be aliased to bruise like i said above.

Other related but unaliased tags: cut and bruises.
And black_eye, which should probably be sorted into bruised_eye instead, since some have tagged it for the eye color.
I'm not going to touch those myself, too busy with other things and those aren't topics that I enjoy looking at.

Maybe alias all these things to injury/injured? I mean, what's the point of having a wounded tag, a bruised tag, AND a injured tag.
Though black eye can stay, it's a special case.

Wounded and bruise should imply injured, that way people can blacklist one with one tag, or both with one tag. Bruises and Bruised should alias to Bruise.

theres absolutely no reason to try to get rid of bruise tags completely by aliasing them to injury or something similar. that makes as much sense as aliasing shorts to pants.

Some people enjoy the look of bruises, especially in sexual contexts, but don't want to see other injuries or blood. The opposite goes for some people as well. There's no point lumping a whole bunch of various injuries into a single tag when there are so many different forms "injury" can take.
So -1 to the OP.
I do think cuts and bruises should imply "injury/injured" while more severe things should imply "wounded" but it's really semantics.

Alright, alright, you've made your points.

Denied. I don't see much reason in aliasing or implying any of these to any other one of these (aside from aliasing grammatical variations).

cut probably needs to be disambiguated at some point. Since it's tagged for circumcised in addition to open wounds.

Damn it Jim , I'm a furry , not a doctor!
But yeah , there are many different types of wounds. Not just bruises .
