LIke Mutisija said, a genital slit is when it's literally just a slit that the genitals come out of, while a sheath is a stump of flesh with a hole at the end that the genitals slide out of. Sheaths tend to come with external balls, too.

Denied for the reasons already mentioned. Sheaths are a feature associated with mammals and slits more associated with scalies. It's pretty similar but altogether a different feature.
